Each month school staff members, students and community members are invited to submit candidate names for RLJH Student of the Month. Nominations can be made through a Google Form available at the following URL: https://forms.gle/DC2dy9QwVMAe1LB6A , or you can email your nomination and a brief description of why you feel the student is a deserving candidate to Carolyn Clattenburg (see email below). 

Two students from each grade level will be selected each month. Our goal is to acknowledge and celebrate the positive contributions and personal achievements being made at school and in the community, and to create a school climate that fosters integrity, resilience and equality.

Criteria may include, but is not limited to:

• Character- displays one or more of the following: kindness, compassion, adaptability, positivity, trustworthiness, honesty, perseverance, responsibility, respect and loyalty.
• Behaviour- shows respect to peers, teachers, school staff and community members, both in and outside the classroom.
• Effort- displays hard work and persistence, approaches the acquisition of a new skill with optimism and determination, helps others.
• Academic Performance- works hard and contributes, shows a marked improvement in performance
• Citizenship- demonstrates strong leadership, inclusion of peers, makes a positive contribution to the school and/or local community
• Impressive Personal Performance- shows an outstanding achievement in athletics, fine arts (or other) at the school, community, provincial or national level
